Demonstrate technical knowledge required for the design and use of custom, technology-enhanced curriculum.
(Hengstler, 2018)
Educators should be able to use the technology to enhance the curriculum and content they teach. The use of technology to enhance lessons and teaching does not take away or replace traditional teaching methods, but reinforces the content and curriculum being taught.
Evidence/Artifact
My evidence/artifact for Learning Objective 2 is the PowerPoint presentation that I created for the class activity in the fourth class. (Lawrence, 2018) I created a ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ presentation for my future classroom.

What I learned and Why is it important
I have found that PowerPoint is a powerful tool for students to use to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding by creating electronic books, presentations, and slideshows with music. Teachers are able to use PowerPoint to aid and reinforce content and curriculum in various ways such as the demonstrated choose your own adventure presentation, electronic books, and my favourite, using it to create single use and reusable worksheets.
British Columbia Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB) Standard Link
I can link my artifact to the fifth TRB standard as as an educator PowerPoint can be an instructional strategy. Currently, I am using PowerPoint in my Slam Poetry unit lesson for my fourth year practicum as both an instructional tool in addition to a classroom management tool, as can be seen in the below example.

Educators implement effective practices in areas of classroom management, planning, instruction, assessment, evaluation and reporting. Educators have the knowledge and skills to facilitate learning for all students and know when to seek additional support for their practice. Educators thoughtfully consider all aspects of teaching, from planning through reporting, and understand the relationships among them. Educators employ a variety of instructional and assessment strategies.
